Q: what is a furry?
A: a furry is a person who shows a non sexual interest in anthropomorphic characters, for example mickey mouse. furries usually make their own anthro characters.
IMPORTANT NOTE: FURRIES ARE NOT ATTRACTED TO ANIMALS. ANY PERSON WHO IS ATTRACTED TO ANIMALS AND CLAIMS TO BE A FURRY IS NOT A FURRY; ITS AGAINST THE FURRY RULES TO BE A ZOOPHILE.
Q: how long have you been a furry for?
A: around 9 years (yes, since i was 7!)
Q: what is a therian?
A: a therian is a person who involuntarily identifies as an animal in a non-physical way. every therian has their own reasons to believe their identity. however, we know that we are still human.
Q: is therianthropy a trend?
A: recently, there has been an influx of people identifying as a therian. while many of these are "true" therians, there are, of course, many others who are doing it for the trend or are mistaken.
Q: how do you know youre not faking it?

short answer: ive felt this way all my life. i just recently (within the past 2 years) found the correct label. however, i still know i am, and always will be, a human.
Q: should i treat therians like their theriotypes?
A: again, every therian is different, but generally no, you should not. it may cross boundaries or make them uncomfortable. for me it is both. please dont treat me like a dog.
Q: are therians mentally ill?
A: therians are not mentally ill. we know that we are humans. however, many therians are neurodivergent, including myself (mild to severe adhd).
Q: how did you know you're pan?
A: i realized i dont care what my partner identifies as. i love them for them and them alone :)

A: i like mlp for the same reasons people nowadays like bluey! its a nice show to watch, even if im not a 6 year old girl. not all mlp fans are gross! i do admit the community has its rotten part, but what community doesnt? most importantly, im not part of the rot. i just like the show!

A: hes just another crypto bro. he thinks we will be able to terraform mars within the next 500 years (impossible; it will be extremely hard to create a stable and safe atmosphere). he partook in a lot of cruel and unusual animal testing. he is transphobic. he is homophobic.

🐾 how do i know im not faking my therianthropy?🐾

when i was 7, i wanted to start a "cool kids club." but "cool kids" sounded lame. i needed something better. wolves were pretty cool to little me. theyre brave, theyre strong, and above all, theyre super cool.
keep in mind, the only online access i had was youtube on an xbox 360 and youtube+roblox on a kindle fire. i had no clue wolves were "in," for lack of better words.
i started what i called "the wolf club." we all had titles/nicknames. i was mama wolf. (thats where my old channel name came from!)
to call a "meeting," id howl.
for fun, id bark. id growl.
i even made what can only be described as a fursona, simply named "mama wolf."
one day, a friends sister, lets call her aurora, found out how much i liked wolves. she convinced me i was a werewolf.
looking back, aurora meant it in a roleplaying way, and was probably going through a twilight phase.
but i took it very seriously.
i thought vampires were real. i thought it was my duty as a wolf to kill all vampires.
it was so fun.
i felt so so happy.
i felt like me.
later that school year, i started to read every nonfiction book on wolves my schools library had.
i was in awe.
i began to do quadrobics, without ever even knowing such a thing existed. i thought running on all fours was something i had made up all by myself.
that school year into the next, i started feeling a tail and ears. my tail would tuck and my ears would fold when i was upset. my tail would wag and my ears would perk up when i was happy.
following that school year, i had realized i wasnt truly a werewolf, that it was silly of me to think so. but i didnt stop acting and feeling like a wolf.
i found out about a film called wolf children. i asked to get it for christmas. i got it; i still have it.
i loved it.
i still do.
it made me cry.
it still does.
as the years went by, these wolfy feelings began to fade. but never completely.
i thought it was weird of me.
i was ashamed that it ever even happened.
but then i started relating to domesticated dogs. a lot. like how i related to wolves all those years ago.
i found out about therianthropy.
i read into it.
